A warm welcome to the new Egyptian prime minister in Tahrir Square


The prime minister promised the new Egyptian Essam Sharaf protesters Friday to meet their demands and pro-democratic change in a speech in front of thousands of protesters in Tahrir Square in central Cairo a day after his appointment. Said
Honor, "I'm here to take you Craeiti. I will do my best to your demands BBC."

He was appointed the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, who runs the affairs of the country, Essam Sharaf Thursday, replacing Ahmed Shafiq, who protesters demanded he step down because of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak appointed in his last days in office.

The honor was born in 1952 and served as Minister of Transport of Mubarak's rule for a brief period, he joined the protesters in Tahrir Square during the uprising demanding political and economic change in Egypt.

In a rare move by an Egyptian official, the honor went to Tahrir Square Friday ahead of the prayer, amid cheers and greeting from the field, who present in the form of a number of them tunnel allows him to penetrate the ranks of the protesters.

The protesters boycotted the word of honor several times, chanting: "We are with you" while they were asked to be patient with the beginning of his presidency of the transitional government in the country.

Sharaf said "Please we did something great, however we will work some more. The Supreme Council of the armed forces cost me a heavy task and requires patience."

And is likely to calm the protesters, who set an honor and continued their protests in Tahrir Square to demand the government clean up of the elements that used to belong to the former regime, including Shafiq.

Mubarak stepped down from the presidency in February 11 after three decades in power.

Said Omar Ahmad told AFP from the field of Liberation "This is a good step but we still have demands. We want the release of detainees."

He said another protester Ahmad Adel "We are ready to give him time, but we will continue to pressure in order to achieve our demands."

The scores were arrested during the bloody demonstrations, which lasted 18 days and led to the overthrow of Mubarak, which killed at least 384 people and injured more than 6000 others.
He paid tribute to honor all the participants in the uprising and the "martyrs of the revolution" and the thousands who were injured and the families of the victims.
He pledged the Supreme Council of the armed forces to oversee the country's transition to a free democratic system.

And turned the Friday protests were organized on the basis of the pressure on the system, to the big celebrations in the wake of news of the resignation of Ahmed Shafiq.

The protesters boycotted the word of honor once again shout, "People want to bring down the state security," he said, referring to the device's interior and human rights groups which accused systems suppression of opponents of the former use of torture.

Sharaf said, "Lord claimed that Egypt remains a free country and the security services will serve the citizens."
He concluded by saying, "Lift your head up you are Egypt," a chant that has spread among the protesters after Mubarak step down.
